Each library facility has its own Friends group.
Friends operate independently, but each has the same mission: to serve
as advocates and provide program and financial support to the local library.
And more importantly, to have fun doing it!
Lander Library Friends Association (LLFA)
"..the health of our civilization, the depth of our
awareness about the underpinnings of our culture, and our concern for the future
can be tested by how well we support our libraries" -- Carl Sagan
The Friends work in
cooperation with the library on activities such as raising donations and
assisting with special events. The Book Nook is currently open Saturdays
from 9:00 to 12:00. LLFA also sponsors "Reading Wyoming", an annual
Wyoming Humanities Council Book Discussion Group.
One meeting is held annually for all members, with the board meeting
monthly. Join the LLFA as we watch our new Fremont County Library grow. We
are excited about this and want you to be a part of LLFA to help us plan its
direction and activities!
For more information contact the Fremont County Library (Lander) at 307-332-5194 or email the Friends at
