Library System Executive Director
LIBRARY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – Our patrons deserve the best! Fremont County Library System, headquartered in Lander Wyoming, is currently searching for a Library Director….the “best in the west.” Successful candidate must share our passion for library services in a rural setting, bring budget expertise to guide a 2.6 million dollar annual budget, and bring library experience to mentor managers and staff towards continued growth in technology and public service. Our director should also enjoy collaborating throughout the county, state and nation to shine a bright light on our outstanding staff and facilities. Our three libraries, located in Dubois, Lander and Riverton, serve a population of 41,000 and the director will become the public face for our system. Humor, adaptability, diplomacy and professional grace under fire are necessary character traits.
Applicant will have the following qualifications: MLS from an ALA-accredited library program, and/or 5 or more years of progressively responsible public library experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary range is mid-$60,000’s with a full benefit package.
Responsibilities include: hiring, training and supervision of library employees; budgeting and fiscal management; oversight of programs and services; collaboration and consensus-building; planning; assisting supporting boards in fulfilling their mission. The successful candidate will have a strong philosophy of customer service, and a drive for innovation.

Library System Technology Manager
TECHNOLOGY HEAD – The Fremont County Library System [FCLS] seeks a dynamic individual to join our library management team as the head of technology, reporting to the Library Director. Position is full time and will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading the library network, and procuring and installing both hardware and software throughout the system. This position will also work closely with management and the technology team to evaluate needs, create and implement long range plans, assist with staff training and budget preparation. A balance of technology and strong people skills a must! Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, and four years of broad experience working with PC/Cisco networking & VoIP equipment. Management experience also preferred. Salary negotiable depending upon education and experience.
