Join Riverton Branch Library’s monthly book club, now meeting on the THIRD Saturday of the month! This month we will be devouring The Pilot’s Wife by Anita Shreve. Zoom link will be available for those who cannot attend in person.

The Fremont County Library System is among the stops for a two-actor tour of “Shakespeare’s Greatest Scenes” in local schools, libraries, and community centers throughout Fremont County, organized by the Wyoming Shakespeare Festival Company. The 60-minute performance will include excerpts from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet, As You Like It, Romeo & Juliet, and The Taming of the Shrew. Each performance will be followed by a 15-minute talkback with the actors, as well as the option for a heightened language workshop.

The workshop is open to all members of the community, regardless of age or experience, and lasts about an hour. The students will work with the two actors on breathing exercises, acting games, and an intro to Shakespeare’s language.

April 2 will be a showcase of the portfolios written by the youth participating. Workshop and showcase will be offered each date from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m.

The FCLS Library Board will have a Work Session on Thursday, February 19, 3:00pm at the Lander Library or via Zoom to discuss the development of new statement of principles documents. This is a public meeting where citizens may observe the process but not provide comment. Zoom link will be posted the morning of the meeting on the Library Board page.
