Road Scholar Lecture - The Frozen Frontier: A Journey into Antarctica
The Riverton Branch Library is teaming up with Road Scholar (formerly Elderhostel) to share some new virtual lectures with the community.
The first is on April 7 at 12 p.m. and features Jane Pauley, an award-winning broadcast journalist who currently hosts Sunday Morning on CBS. She will present “Reimagining the Rest of Your Life.”
The second offering is on April 22 at 11 a.m., titled “The Frozen Frontier: A Journey into Antarctica.”

Grades 6-12
This five-day creative writing workshop is offered in conjunction with Homeschool Hangout to teach teens how to write from a non-human narrator’s perspective. April 2 will be a showcase of the portfolios written by the youth participating. Workshop and showcase will be offered each date from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m.

Wyoming Shakespeare Festival Company Presents “Shakespeare’s Greatest Scenes” PERFORMANCE
FREE & OPEN to the PUBLIC. Ticket reservations are not required. Please show up 15 minutes prior to the performance to secure seating.
The Fremont County Library System is among the stops for a two-actor tour of “Shakespeare’s Greatest Scenes” in local schools, libraries, and community centers throughout Fremont County, organized by the Wyoming Shakespeare Festival Company. The 60-minute performance will include excerpts from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet, As You Like It, Romeo & Juliet, and The Taming of the Shrew. Each performance will be followed by a 15-minute talkback with the actors, as well as the option for a heightened language workshop.
The workshop is open to all members of the community, regardless of age or experience, and lasts about an hour. The students will work with the two actors on breathing exercises, acting games, and an intro to Shakespeare’s language.

The Fremont County Library System will be closed Monday, March 16th for staff training. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, March 17th.
